Our Story

Weithaus was founded in 2025 by Atlanta-born and -raised Claire Weitnauer, with the mission of offering families timelessly beautiful baby goods and homewares. Claire was raised in Decatur, and family has always been important. From sunny afternoons riding bikes across Decatur neighborhoods to warm and cozy weekends at beloved Lake Lanier cabins, cherished childhood memories influence every inch of the shop. 

Beginning her career in non-profit communications, Claire studied fashion and then learned the baby business in New York boutiques before moving back home and founding Weithaus. We hope the shop feels like an extension of home. 

Our shop values prioritize sustainability and environmentally conscious products, which are as practical and durable as they are beautiful. We buy and source according to practitioner and parent recommendations, allowing parents, families, and loved ones to shop with confidence and peace of mind.
